I have recently been accepted as a Blog Writer for The Times of Israel. The first two writings were accepted and published. This one was not. The response of the Editor was this:(This post is not accepted for publication. While we welcome perspectives from all religions, preaching the truth of one, in this case, belief in Jesus, to the diverse readership of The Times of Israel is not appropriate. I knew that if they published this, then I could pretty much write about anything. I knew my opposition when writing this, but I did it anyway. They cited; "preaching the truth of one, in this case, belief in Jesus" was not appropriate because the majority of Jews do not accept Jesus, and I knew this which was my reason for this writing this particular subject. I told them from the beginning that I was a Christian and that I was going to write about God and use scripture because that is how I write and they accepted me as a Blog Writer, but I went too far with the truth of Jesus in their eyes. I was prepared for the ridicule and the many responses from readers. I prayed to the Lord and told Him I am willing to be hated for you. I still am, and I will continue to write for them if they will have me. I just have to do what my mom did when she fed us spaghetti.... sneak vegetables into it for our own good!
"Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?" Galatians 4:16
Now more than ever, is the time to choose sides. It's not about Pro-Israel or Pro-Palestinian....it's much more important than your address or your ancestors; it's your soul. This war has people staring death in the face and the finality of this fact is where will your soul go when you die? Will you go to the Father by the way of the Son, or will you be under the curse until the end? This war is just a catalyst for what's next and it's prophetic. "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places: all this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another, and many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because wickedness is multiplied, most men's love will grow cold. But he who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come." Matthew 24:6-14
This world means nothing, it's the one to come where our treasure can be found. People are standing in the streets protesting over land when it's clearly written in the Bible as to the land in Israel and to whom the Lord gave it, people are killing each other because others don't believe what they believe, while some are enraged that things aren't happening according to their will and calling for an election instead of acknowledging it is the Lord that is control of those in power. "He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings..." Daniel 2:21 "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." Romans 13:1 Does your faith in God only exist when He does your will or what you understand? Then your faith is conditional, and your worship is false. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts. If a portion of your faith requires that you kill others to enter into a special place or tells you that you will be rewarded for the number of lives you take, then you are not serving the God of Israel, but the enemy of God. You are an instrument of the devil who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. "Let no one deceive you, my children! Whoever does what is right is righteous, just as Christ is righteous. Whoever continues to sin belongs to the devil, because the devil has sinned from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for this very reason, to destroy what the devil has done." 1 John 3:7-8
My heart grieves for the lives that have been lost, but this is the result of war. Sacrifices will always be a result of war, but this pain and this life is only temporary. Sometimes sacrifices are necessary to achieve the end result. The sacrifice of Jesus was necessary to achieve our salvation. The Father knows this is hard, but this is His way. "He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 John 2:2 Our joy comes from knowing that the acceptance of Jesus as the Messiah means that we will see our loved ones again if they too accept Jesus as their Savior. Just as David mourned the child he had lost in this life and knew he could not bring the child to him now; he knew that once he himself died he could go to his child. I pray for peace in the hearts of those in the midst of this suffering, but there will be no peace anytime soon for Israel, not until God's purpose is fulfilled in this war. So many times, we read in the Bible how the Lord stirred His vessels for His purpose. He's still stirring, and right now is the time that people should be scrambling in repentance and realize how thankful they should be that they are still here to accept Jesus before it's too late. I don't know many people that have been angry about having extra time to do something, so take this time that you have left to repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Â If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved. The scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed." This includes everyone, because there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles; God is the same Lord of all and richly blesses all who call to Him. As the scripture says, "Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved." Romans 10:9-13
Everyone must acknowledge that standing in the streets yelling won't work the righteousness of God, allowing hate to be your driving force will not draw you closer to the Kingdom of God either. I know hearts hurt, and I understand that people want to have their pound of flesh, but the Lord says, "vengeance is mine." You must turn to God in your suffering and not away from Him. He tests the hearts and the faith of His children. "God will bless you for this, if you endure the pain of undeserved suffering because you are conscious of His will." 1 Peter 2:19 "So then, those who suffer because it is God's will for them should by their good actions trust themselves completely to their Creator, who always keeps His promise." 1 Peter 4:19Â
I am a Christian, and I am thankful to just be eating the crumbs that fell to me when Jesus came for the Jews first. I am not worthy to even lay at His feet, but He is a good and merciful God and His desire is to have all come to the truth and be saved. It is not His desire that anyone should perish. Our family has witnessed the awesome power of God and the enemy working against Him. If you think the war in Israel is catastrophic, then you would stand in utter fear if you could witness just for a moment the Spiritual battle that is taking place all around you. People are such simple creatures in only believing what their physical eyes see or their ears hear, and quick to forget the warnings and prophecy they were given long ago. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 Peace will not be preached for there is no peace. Do not cry out for peace, cry out for God's will to be done, and may it come swiftly. Pray for His strength to endure in those that are dying for the name of Jesus and pray for those to know Jesus before they die. None of this is about you, it's all about Him, and to God be the glory! "We say this because we have confidence in God through Christ. There is nothing in us that allows us to claim that we are capable of doing this work. The capacity we have comes from God; it is He who made us capable of serving the new covenant, which consists not of a written law but of the Spirit. The written law brings death, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians 3:4-6
If you do not have Jesus, you do not have the Spirit, and that is why you do not understand. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the only way to receive the Spirit. If you do not understand the concept of a Triune God, let me help you. Think of an egg. There is the shell, the egg white, and the egg yolk. It's all an egg, but there are three parts to it that make up the egg. That's how it is with God. He is three in one! Me for example...I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a grandmother, but I am only one person. I have many functions and titles, but there is only one of me. This is how I explain our awesome Triune God to my grandchildren so they understand how He can be all three. "Jesus Christ is the one who came with the water of His baptism and the blood of His death. He came not only with the water, but with both the water and the blood. And the Spirit Himself testifies that this is true, because the Spirit is truth. There are three witnesses: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and all three give the same testimony. We believe man's testimony; but God's testimony is much stronger, and He has given His testimony about His Son. So, whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his own heart; but whoever does not believe God, has made a liar of Him, because he has not believed what God has said about His Son. The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in the Son. Whoever has the Son has this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." 1 John 5:6-12Â
One of the things that the Lord has pressed onto my heart, is to pray for His people. One of my spiritual gifts is intercessory prayer, and I do this three times a day and at 3 a.m., when I am awakened like clockwork to do so. One morning I was awakened and told by the Spirit, "soon all that will matter will be the Holy City of Jerusalem." I pray for Israel, the descendants of Jacob. I pray that those people of Jewish faith that do not know Jesus as the Messiah have their eyes opened that they may be a complete in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and I pray for the Holy City of Jerusalem...the one that is and is to come. God Bless Jerusalem. "For if the gospel we preach is hidden, it is hidden only from those who are being lost. They do not believe, because their minds have been kept in the dark by the evil god of this world. He keeps them from seeing the light shining on them, the light that comes from the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. For it is not ourselves that we preach; we preach Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. The God who said, '"Out of darkness the light shall shine!"' is the same God who made His light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:3-6
We know that one of the key signs of the return of Jesus is the gathering in of the Lord's people that were scattered to return home. Is God allowing the antisemitism and persecution of His people so that they will return to Israel? Only God knows this, but it sure makes you think. God either does it, uses it, or allows it....and He hasn't stopped it, soooooooo. "In that day the Lord will extend His hand yet a second time to recover the remnant which is left of His people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Ethiopia, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. He will raise an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." Isaiah 11:11-12Â
The entire Bible points to the coming of Jesus. He was with Him at creation, which is why in Genesis God says, "Let US create man in OUR image, not MY image." He was not alone then, and He is not alone now. It is time for you to know and accept the Son of God as your Messiah. Isaiah refers to Israel many times as, "He," but Isaiah 53 is about Jesus, not Israel. May your eyes be opened. May you have peace in your hearts knowing this war is the will of the Father. "Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. So shall it be! Amen. Revelation 1:7
